Changing 3DS Region Questions

I know there isn't really a good reason to change the region of my 3DS, but I'd like to change it from JP to US. I've looked into other posts and I'd like to confirm a few things.

From the guide, I use the 11.15 CTRTransfer and not 11.05 that I saw somewhere
If I make a NAND backup, it would restore everything back to how it was on JP in case I somehow screw up
eShop access would be gone (don't need it anyway, I backed up everything from my other 3DS)

Eshop going down in March, so feel free to region change, if you care about game update in the same region you need another unit to perform the setup that allows region change 3ds to access eshop/ update etc.
