Hi people on the scene!

I would like to change my user profie number... i have two accounts and they are "800003" and "800004", instead of "800001" and "800002".

I think it's a bad idea to do a factory reset, since I have lots of personal configurations, including all you can think of!

I can ftp my wiiu using ftpiiu everywhere...
Is there any configuration file I can edit?
Will it cause any issue after that??

Thanks

I know it's just a detail.
I would like to have a single user, and I will delete the other one soon.
As I use lots of time game save injection, I don't like to see 800003 instead of the default 800001.

Justo for curiosity, I had the same situation on my PS3, and after a full HDD format it changed back to 1!.

Do you think if I create some dummy users, the number increase until 800009 and then back to 800001?!
How many users it is possible to create? Maybe the number will go until "80000f"! Or "8fffff" !!

it will keep going up, it won't go back to 8000001 and reset.

do you have a NNID account? did you buy a haxchi game with the 800003 ?

THhanks for your nterest jbuck.
Yes, my NNID is associated with 800003 and yes I bought my brain training with 800003.
Is there any possibility to to go back to 1?
Even if I need to reinstal the game...
You're right, I tested, it's increasing. I created some users. now it's on 80000a =(

I figured I would post on the thread in case people want to do something similar in the future:

I myself wasn't able to a new 80000001 user, probably because of some conflicting issue with that account having a NNID attached to it. But I was able to get back 80000002 which I also deleted when trying to get the other account back.

If you want to give it a shot, make sure you have FTPiiU Everywhere installed in your homebrew launcher and some sort of FTP software on your computer (I use Filezilla). For some reason you have to run Mocha CFW first before using FTPiiU, so make sure you do that before tying to connect to your PC.

So put in the IP address and port that FTPiiU gives you into your FTP software and hit connect. Once it connects, just navigate to here in the filesystem:
storage_mlc\usr\save\system\act\

(I just realized you probably already know the above stuff, since you know the user id numbers, but I'll leave it there on the off chance that you don't.)

And in that folder you should see persisid.dat which has a value that looks like this:
PersistentIdHead=800000XX

Whenever you make a new user on your wii u, it tries to make that user with whatever ID PersistentIdHead is set at. And if it fails (like it did for my 80000001), then it will skip user IDs until it finds the next open slot.

So try changing that to 80000001 or 8000000 if that doesnt work. Other than that I dont really know what would work. I wish I knew so I could get my account that has my Splatoon save data back.

Also, you said in the post that you have IDs 80000003 and 80000004 used but not the ones before that? Was it always like that or did you delete other users in the past?

Hi SwimyGreen,

Thanks for your effort detailing this awsome explanation!

I'm an advanced user, I know how to get access to WiiU by FTP, but I don't use Mocha. I use Haxchi CFW instead.
I was just afraid to mess with system stuff, that's why I looked for help before trying anything!

I will check what number I have on "PersistentIdHead". I think I will have 8000000b because I was trying to create several new accounts to see what happens after 80000009!

My main user is 80000003 because I deleted in the past the old users I created with stupid names (when there was no exploits on wiiu scene)
I never thought users will be linked with "PersistentIdHead" numbers, game tickets, saves, nnid...!! Arrrhhh!

This user 80000003 (Me) is associated with a NNID and I bought a DS game to install Haxchi on it.
I think if I delete this user, I will lose Haxchi right? I think the DS game becomes unusable (corrupt)
But I can try to create the user 80000001 and keep 80000003 until I have everythink ready for user deletion.

So, you never figure out why you are unable to recreate the user 8000001, but can you still link a NNID to your user 8000002?

When you set PersistentIdHead to 800001 it will start creating user 800001 then 800002 then it will skip 800003 because it's present already so it will create 800004.
You don't need mocha to do all this (i didn't)

And, do you think I will lose Haxchi on the DS game I bought if I create 8000001 and delete 800003 after that?

I'm the only user of my WiiU, and I always like to see things set up by default. I know this is picky, but I like things correct.
I find it annoying to see all my saves within folders "800003" instead of number 1.

My current user (800003) are liked to NNID and I bought the DS game with it.
I just want to create the 8000001 user and migrate the DS game, haxchi, Mii and NNID to it.

btw, I think all other games (USB games) will work fine.

Well if you delete the user from console you can create a new user with the same nnid after you change the PersistentId.dat file and redownload the ds game if you need to. You gonna have to save all user information from 800003 and copy it to 8000001 to get everything to work

I did it!
Thank you so much guys =)

I have successfully created user number 8000001 on my system!

But changing the persistentID to 8000001 didn't work. That way was created user 8000002.
I had to change persistentID to 8000000 so the user 8000001 was created!

I created a new Mii. It's curious, as I could create more than one Mii with the same look and the same name! A clone!
Now the next question will be if I delete the user 8000003 will I loose the DS game and the ability to run Haxchi?
The problem of downloading the game again is because I'm on 5.5.1 and I don't want to go to 5.5.2!
And if I unlock the DNS's to enter the eShop, the WiiU will update without asking =/

WHat do you recommend now?

Thanks again.

Maybe delete to update folder?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Is the games you download console based or user based?

I didn't understand...
What do you mean with "Delete to update folder"?

The DS game is the Brain Age.
How do I know if it's user or console based?

All the other games (WiiU games) were installed with the Brazilian method. (I own these games on retail disc).
