Hacking change brightness on r4i gold

hi a simple question how do I rase and lower the brightness on my r4i gold as it seems to be putting it at the 3rd brightness level whitch means less battery.

I don't actually know but try the L+R buttons and look for a lightbulb while in the games
section and if there is one try tapping it.

nope nothing happens and its on LEVEL 4 BATTERY SUCKER!

I think the r4i gold can only change the brightness on DS Lite models
to change the brightness on the DSi press and hold select and press the volume down

it dosent work with the select and vol down. I do have DSlite its the limited edition one that came with phantom hour glass.

Maybe turn your ds lite brightness down before booting, or if the r4i has a settings menu. maybe in the settings menu you will see a default brightness, set it to your preffered brightness from there.

i do it changes to it max at the boot of the R4i it dosent matter what I sellect from the main menu I should have pointed that out allreay.
