There is a method of swapping region emunand but its still being worked on to ensure it works 100%. I doubt its noob-proof though so your knowledge of how it works is a must.
the cfw is just a clone of your sysnand, there is a way to region change, but its still under wraps.....if/once the method is revealed for changing emunand regions on gateway, the same method 'should' work fine on the cfw too (the cfw would still be limited to 4.x usage only though)
