Hacking CFW for 3ds on 11.6.0

Hi Everyone,

I have a 3ds on software 11.6.0 and would like to install CFW.
Looking at the guides, I would have to either have a flashcart or solder my DS. Which I can't really do either.

If I update the software and run 11.8.0, then I would need a game from the eSHOP. (I am doing this for a friend otherwise I would just spend the money and buy a compatible game).

Is there anyway of choosing which software to update to, or to downgrade software? So that I can just use soundhax etc to install CFW.

11.6 has no downgrade method, your options are Dsiware (Seedminer), NTRBoot, and Hard Mod.
