Gaming Castlevania: OoE help

I can't enter the green portal on Misty Forest Road. What glyph do I need, and how do I get it, because I'm confused as shit.

I also have not found everyone frozen by Albus.

Hmmm. Hard to answer this without spoilers, but you won't get that glyph until later in the game. It's definitely not required to find all the villagers, and without finding all the villagers, you will never get that glyph.

If you want to know:

It's the Paries glyph, and you absorb it from WallMan (a boss) in the castle

Do you know which villagers you're missing? Look at your villager list. Which ones are still "????".

Ahh cool thanks...I saw those maps and they're a piece of beauty. I used to do FAQS years back but gave it up due to time, but never did get into pictures other than ascii art in them.

I'd use a map now, but the castle is fairly straight forward considering the way it points you, but now the problem are just damn nasty boss damages. I have a feeling that I keep forgetting this isnt' like the other GBA/DS titles of the line and that I need to rot and level up for a bit as I think I'm well underpowered.
