Hacking Case mod gone strange

Cut to the chase - Put a clear housing on my DS Lite. Little brother's lite had a cracked hinge, so I used my old parts to fix it and he has a bamf lookin black/white ds lite now. Sadly, every once in a while his speakers will produce a static/crackle sound, only since the casemod was done. Mine doesnt.

Think reseating the top half and speakers would fix it, or do I need to buy him new speakers?

If new speakers, I will ask this as I s aw someone else ask it but never was answered - would the DSi speakers fit/work in a Lite? Apparently they are higher quality *shrug*

i thought it was the dsi xl ones which were supposed to be higher quality, not the dsi ones...

Something or another. if the xl ones will work and fit in a lite, then I will go with those over the dsi ones even.

check ebay, they sell dsi speakers for a few dollars only
if it don't work you only lose about $2

First check the connection between speaker and the PCB. Could be loose connection.

Yeah replacing the speakers seems to be your best bet.
