Can anyone recommend a good case for the slim, that has storage for a few memory sticks? I've seen a lot of cases, but none seem to mention much about memory stick storage, only umd storage.

The best case that you could possibly get is the Logitech Playgear Pocket (it's around £10) which is essentially the same as the one killermike linked to. Then you could grab a cheap pro duo storage case from Deal Extreme ( i have this one)

I thought it was in this forum, but didn't someone link to a UMD size/shape memory sticks holder?
Basically its the size and shape of a UMD, but it had slots that held 2 or 3 memory sticks.
If I recall, the problem was the cosy ... ober pricey.

it was probably my post... yeah you can get them on ebay just search "umd memory stick" but as mentioned above so far it seems they've only made a PSP phat version - i've emailed the 2 sellers i've stumbled across and they didn't stock a slim version

i like the one that you have. i plan on getting another memory card. ill have four total, so this would be great. i just dont like the color. i wonder if you could take the "place holders" out of the case and insert different color paper, or something like that.

A couple years ago when I had my first PSP, I had this case and yes, there are sites dedicated to pictures that can be printed and inserted.
Here's one site that has some instructions.
Check with Google as there are lots of sites that have samples. Do it yourself or get a redesigned picture.

I don't mind the price, but there is a very real chance I won't ever touch it once it gets here.

Because my brain is fucked up.

$100 for a console is not a lot. $100 for a plastic brick to put on a shelf is a lot.

I got a Pi5 Veho, loaded like 400GBs of games tested a few and now it sits lol

    Next to the Pi4

Although the Pi5 features 2TBs of Nvme goodness

I had hoped Killer Instinct Gold on the N64 would improve..... It did not, so not a speed issue, emulation issue

    On the Pi?

I was kinda sad about that, got it all set up and fired it up. Side by side Pi4 vs Pi5 and there is literally zero difference

Although I will say Dreamcast seems to work better

Maybe there's some single/multi core bullshit that one emulator knows how to use and the other doesn't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Things where speed was the issue and not the emulator
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Veho probably but based on what I read even on a PC that one game is tough to emulate
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably microcode

The N64 was ahead of it's time with that BS lol

    FPGA N64 emu when?
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's amazing how annoying those old consoles are to emulate. Like, you can emulate Gamecube and Wii on a calculator, but like the SNES still has trouble.

I think that one company made one?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah the issue from what I understand is they used old hardware that was more finicky about timings and speeds, newer stuff was more about shaders and APIs lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
And half the stuff relied on weird interference inside the chip and not actual intended functionality.
