Hi, turned on my Wii - saw a X by the Download mgmt icon bottom right. It pointed to a system update not being able to download (I have tubehax dns set).

Ninty UK web site still says 5.5.1..

So, just a PSA in case..

oh yeah, I can't access loadiine.ovh either - get Error Code: 112-1006

if you have the X icon on your Download Manager...it just simply means TubeHax is doing its job....BLOCKING the update...5.5.1 is NOT new.....Loadiine.ovh is working for me btw....I just used it about 5 minutes ago to launch homebrew launcher...

Ok, let me be clear. I know 5.5.1 is not new, I've been running it for weeks. Now suddenly 2 mins ago I noticed my Wii tried to download a NEW system update. That's what I'm warning about.
And not sure why, but all the loadiine exploit sites are giving me an error.
10 mins ago - no X by download and HBL access working fine. I literally just went and made a coffee.
Not sure what any FAQ has got to do with this.

Thq FAQ warns you that if you have Nintendo servers blocked by DNS or other methods, you will get a "Failed System Update" in the download status screen.

in the FAQ it is clearly stated that when that happens tubehax is doing his job cause the wiiu is only checking if there is a new update or not, but tubehax does not allow the wiiu to check

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't tubehax set up by smea? If that goes down from a power outage or computer failure everyone would be vulnerable?

that's why there also is the choiche to router block or install both cknhax dns

That's what I thought. I just recently started router blocking. Also if you set secondary dns to all zeroes and primary dns fails does that mean you would loose Wii U internet access as a fall back protection warning you that tubehax is down?

I personally have URLs blocked in my router AND I unplug my system when not in use....just to be extra safe :) (once we have a "full" CFW, i'm sure an update blocker will be created to prevent the Wii U from checking at all...that would be nice...no need for TubeHax, router blocking, etc...)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If I get 10 dollars for every "there's a new update?"... I'll be rich...

You'd probably get rich off nickels for every time someone asks/mentions it....you'd be Bill Gates rich if you got a PENNY every time someone asked about IOSU hack
