Gaming Can't read from source file or disk

Okay, so i have a HD mkv movie, and apparently i can't seem to move the movie into my Kingston 8GB usb thumbdrive. Other mkv files can be transferred into the thumbdrive flawlessly.
I have tried transferring this movie into my external HDD too, but it doesn't seem to work as well.

After several minutes of transferring this movie, a windows error box pops up as follow :

Can't read from source file or disk ..... try again .... cancel???

What should I do? I have tried doing chkdsk on my thumbdrive, but there is no problem detected.
Is there anyway i can detect if something is corrupted with the mkv movie. I tried playing it on the computer itself and it plays flawlessly...

I'm using windows 7 btw. 64bit.

tried it. Still the same.

Try chkdsk on your actual drive, not your thumb drive. The source file is where the file is coming from, and that may have become corrupted or the disk sector it's located on become damaged and unreadable.
