Hacking Can't open Hourglass9 on boot

Hello,

I've been following Plailect's Guide step by step and i'm kinda stuck on https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-5-(arm9loaderhax) Section IV.

Booting the 3ds normally results in a black screen.
Holding SELECT while booting shows Luma 3ds settings.
Holding START while booting does nothing, resulting in a black screen.
Removing the sd card and booting turns the 3ds off.

That means you got A9LH working but you messed up in setting up the payload. Try using BootCtr9

btw make sure that the name is exactly as it says(It should be named start_HG9.bin or something)

I should have mentioned that i my install had minor deviations from the original guide:

I used Luma 3ds 5.2, and also followed the guide here: http://ataber.pw/downgrade.html
apart from that i followed the guide step by step.

That means you got A9LH working but you messed up in setting up the payload. Try using BootCtr9

I'm not that good with the whole hacking, hence why i follow the guide as closely as possible, i'm not quite sure if i should resort to even bigger deviations.

do you have a custom splash screen for luma? I had one of those, and had the exact same problem. Just delete the splash screens and it should work
