Can’t open file “wup_installer_gx2.elf”

I just found this website today when I was trying to figure out about my modded wii U issue.
I am trying to install games to my wii U from SD card. When I try to open WUP GX2 installer, this is the message I get. I am not sure what to do
Please help

Something is not right with your SD files (meta.xml seems to be missing, possibly corrupted .elf file)
Download again from here and extract to the root of your SD card: https://sourceforge.net/projects/wup-installer-gx2/files/WUP_Installer_GX2_v1.3_r21_(HBL_HBC).zip/download
If the issue persists, consider that your SD card might be faulty or fake and run h2testw: https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows).html
The test is most effective if you empty the card (move all the files off it) first.

Meta.xml being missing won't influence an app from working.

It shouldn't be missing if he extracted the archive correctly, it's an indication that something is not right.

Do you use aroma? Then it makes sense that you can't load an .elf file. Aroma doesn't support that. You need either the very old haxchi or tiramisu (tiramisu supports it iirc).

I just bought my SD card last week from Amazon.
It's San Disk 32 GB Ultra 120MB/s.
I actually bought my wii U from someone who was able to mod.
I am not tech savvy at all.

I am going to try everyone's recommendation one by one now.
I will be back (definately)

You should figure out what you have setup first instead of working on WUP installer.

So today I just used the SD card it came with (not the one I purchased from Amazon recently). I was able to open the WUP GX2 installer!!!
BUT there is a new issue
It says “Error No installable content found”. I was happy for a second but now
I am still trying…

Hey, OP. You posted a lot but also doesn't answer anything we asked. Are you even on Tiramisu? Going by the HBL, clearly you're not on Aroma. Also "No installable content found" is just that no wup/nus install folder, either you downloaded a wrong format or it's corrupted or put it in the wrong location on the sd card.

Anyway, stop using WUP gx2 installer and grab Nusspli lite ver from the app store. Stop using USB helper, and use this https://gbatemp.net/threads/relase-...tform-alternative-to-wii-u-usb-helper.621432/

Same concept as what you're trying to do, but better. Use the downloader to download whatever, put it on the sd card and use Nusspli lite to install them.

Or just use Nusspli full version, it'll download the games and install them for you. The only downside is download speed is pretty slow because of the console hardware.

Good morning!
Finally, I was able to add games to my wii U this morning!!

I think my mistake was that I did not click "copy to SD" at the final step....I had copied games to my SD card MANUALLY before and it was wrong I guess.
