Got my new EZ flash IV. Everything about the cart seems fine. Checked all the connections, everything looks as it should. Using a mini to micro adaptor I have formatted the card into FAT and dropped in the kernel file. When I put my sd into the ezflash and boot it up holding R when the screen turns black I get nothing but black.

Is this a known issue? I think it maybe the adaptor as its unusually tight putting the micro sd into the adaptor. Getting it out was another story...

Cheers guys

Got the Card to work, as thought it was the dodgy SD adapter. Now i have a strange issue. The Card will only boot up to the menu on my GBMicro and not my GBASP. Anyone have any idea why this would be? thanks again.

Hey guys, quick question. i have read on the official ez flash iv forums that using the cart on the DSlite will mess up the cart. after hunting this cart down for ages im not willing to test this just incase my cart does get screwed. can anyone confirm this? or am i just being really stupid here.

It will be fine if you use it like a GBA Cart.

DO NOT load roms from your slot 1 flash cart or anything like that if you wanna play roms on the EZ4 do it via the DS Main menu

Reason is if a DS Flash Card formats the cards internal system for its own use it may corrupt it rendering it bricked

So yea its safe to use but if your DS Flash Card asks to use it in any way, DECLINE

Awesome thats for the info. will remove my r4 and use the cart the normal way via booting from the main menu and not a r4 menu.. again thanks for the info huge help!

If your card, Like mine has the ability to boot the GBA Game via the R4 menu that will be OK, Like I use YSMenu on my DSTT and I can press start then Boot GBA since that is just starting up the card.

You just want to avoid your flash card trying to use the EZ4 like a GBA Tool (Such as the EZ 3in1)

But you are better off popping the R4 when playing the EZ4 them both together is battery rape (2 memory cards as well as 2 cards with additional hardware to power)
