Hacking Can't get my Acekard to work

Just bought it yesterday. Followed the guide in AKAIO wiki etc. Whenever I place my acekard is slot-1, it shows 'ds card not found'. =[
Tried switching memory card and my slot-1 works perfectly for my R4.

If its an AK2i on a DSi, make sure its updated with the 1.4 fix.

If its an AK2.1 on a DS Lite or its an AK2i on an DSi with a 1.4 fix, you may have a faulty bootloader. If so, send it in for a replacement. But before you do that try the paper trick. the contacts may not be hitting the DSi very well.

Mine is AK2i on a DS lite. The paper trick doesn't work too. D;

It's not unusual for Acekards not to work directly out of a box. Try cleaning the golden contacts with a soft cloth.
