Hacking Can't get any to work but Gamecube

So I am feeling a little over my head right now, mainly due to frustration. I purchased a Wii yesterday with the sole purpose in mind of modding it to play emulators, and my Gamecube and Wii backups. Everything went fine I thought. I used this guide to do everything, and I followed every step he did in all the videos.

I have installed both USB Loafer Gx, as well as wiiflow. All my Gamecube games work fine when loading them via Nintendont. The issue comes when I try to play my Wii backups. I'll try to explain what happens. I open HBC, click USB Loader Gx, and it starts loading but then gets stuck and basically freezes when it says "switching USB port to 1"..I have tried switching USB ports on the back of the Wii with no success. When I try to open the backups in Wiiflow, it will show my games just fine and let me download art for the titles. Then when I go to play the game, it either stays at a black screen and disconnects my controller until I unplug the system, or takes me back to the Wii home menu. I feel like the proper iOS is running, but I could be wrong also. Any help is really appreciated, as I am getting slightly flustered over this. Thanks in advance!

I feel like if there was a step I missed it it has something to do with the "multi-mod manager." What exactly do I need to do within that app?

It's not recommended to follow YT videos as guides for modding anything console related, they get old pretty fast.

On the other hand try to follow this guide step-by-step and you will (as I am) end up with a fully functional modded Wii, capable of wonders.

I just did that, followed the exact instructions to install cios, all was successful. Still can't launch Wii titles.
