can't find PS4UPDATE 5.05

Hello,

I want to upgrade my PS4 HDD to and SSD.

I am under 5.05 , GOLDHEN works well

I am booting into safe mode and it confirm that I need a 5.05 or greater firmware

I have tried to put an USB key in extFAT / FAT32
I have tried different USB key
I have put the file at PS4UPDATE.PUP in PS4/UPDATE or root
I have tried to format the usb from the PS4 (extFAT) enable FTP and upload the PS4UPDATE.PUP into root and PS4/UPDATE

Whatever I tried I get the :
CE-34788-0 Error


I did upgrade my PS4 firmware this way at some point but here there is nothing I can do.

Any idea would help

you need the recovery pup. check darth sternie's site.

Ok i think I got it I need recovery image seems to be different than the upgrade file....

yeah, it has to install things to the hdd. there are 14 or 15 partitions on there.

yeah, the recovery image is for new hdds, if you format the hdd, or if it's severely corrupted somehow. I'd keep a copy of that image just in case it's removed and it's difficult to find. I kept a copy of both 5.05 pups as well as those for 9.00.
