i just installed cfw on my new 3ds XL and old 3ds XL. I followed the guide in 3ds hacks guide. All is working great. I used system transfer to transfer my files from my old 3ds to the new one Transferring is successful. I did the finalizing setup on the the guide to reinstall cias.
On the the last part where I need to access godmode 9. I wasnt able too. I already checked the files on the sd card. But still, O cant access it. Tried on both system. The good thing everything is working. Fbi, homebrew launcher. Its just the godmode9 i cant access. Can someone help me with this one? TIA!

Are you sure you're holding start while booting (start pressing start before you press power and don't stop until the screen lights up, make sure the start button is working in the first place)?
Can you access Luma config by holding select?
Can you access GM9 if you rename the file to "X_GodMode9.firm" and hold X while booting?
If none of those work, please screenshot the /luma/payloads/ folder on your sd.

Thanks! Its now working I believe I didn’t pressed the button long enough.
By the way, since I did the system transfer. Should I still continue with
Section VI - CTRNAND Luma3DS?

I already have the backups from my initial installation.

Yes, you should. And do NOT ever try to restore the old console's nand backup on your new one!
