I took my HDD out of my ps3 and tried to plug it into the pc with my cable for 2.5 sata
and then I put the HDD back in my ps3 and it said this
Cannot start. The correct hard disk was not found
I know what is wrong hard drive failure.....
will a new HDD fix the problem?

either:

1. The HDD is damage by your hands (static charge on your hands)
2. The HDD was initialize on your PC.
3. Poor contact with your HDD and PS3.

Q: will a new HDD fix the problem?
A: Probably, since the problem is the HDD itself and the problem start acting weird when the time you play on it.

I had this error once but I can't remember how I fixed it... Did you format the drive?

I had this error once. I foolishly thought that I could view filed from the PS3 HDD on my PC, and it didnt work. A reformat to NTFS will fix it right up, but everything will be lost.
