I have one of the first versions of the Switch running Atmosphere with the latest version. It did sell a few days ago but the buyer reported problems so it got sent back. Now i just can't fix it anymore, and i am running out of ideas...

What i have tried and what the results were:

Use another SD -> no change
Replace SD-Reader -> no change
Press down on the Switch at the connector -> works occasionally
Add padding inside of the Switch at the connector so the outer shell presses down onto the connector -> no change from above result
Try to play or do whatever once Atmosphere booted -> at some point SD can't be read and Switch will turn off

What are my options here? I don't wanna throw it away

Most likely it's the connector on the motherboard. I just fixed 2 of these. On 1 repair 1 pin came loose and stuck to the micro sd card reader that clips in. I was able to remove it, re-insert it into motherboard connector and solder it back in. Kids are playing and happy :)

So you were able to reuse the existing connectors in those two cases? I've never soldered anything before though.

I removed connector nd replaced on both. After 1 repair 1 pin was loose and stayed on other connector. I re inserted and soldered it. I did this as I didnt want to replace the connector again if I didn't have too. I have had 1 switch in for repair that I couldnt fix even after wiring up manually. This one something else was wrong with it and never figured it out. Anyone in your are that has experience micro soldering / removing connectors without messing things up is what you need. I'm USA based :(
