Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it, as it takes a while compared to just inserting the SD card into your PC and updating that way.
Download ftpd (the .nds file) here: https://github.com/mtheall/ftpd/releases

If your WiFi network is WPA 1/2, ftpd will only work from the DSi SD card slot.
Otherwise, you can run it from a flashcard as well.

I was just thinking of doing that because I don't want to eject the sd card risking a brick in the sd card and I believe it can even brick your system because it's cfw if I'm not mistaken

Just make sure the console is turned off before ejecting the SD card.

The brick risk only occurs when you install Unlaunch, which is an optional part of the guide.
