Homebrew Can you help? Wrong title key, tried everything.

Hello all,

I have been having this error wrong title key on freeshop every time I download a game.

I have searched all over the Web to resolve this issue, but everything I have tried just does not work.

Things I have tried:
Qr code. Bin
Manually copy. Bin
Install bin via godmode9
Delete whole 3ds folder (start a fresh)
Checked micro sd card for errors (all fine)
Manually type in url
Tik sweep to clear tickets
Installed current and previous version of freeshop 3.1.8 and below manually and qr code.
Check dev settings are not on.
I'm running latest bootstrap9 1.3
Im running latest luma
I'm running latest fbi
I even switched off custom themes with no avail.

#I have a new 3ds xl running firmware 11.6.0-39e#

After all failed attempts I still get the error wrong title key literally on the last 2% of downloading a game. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful, I will give anything a go!

Are you able to play games installed with FBI?
Are you sure you are going to the "title key site" which is second on google?

So go into the freeshop directory, (SD:/3ds/data/freeshop/keys) delete the enctitlekeys.bin then go to the site, download a fresh one manually (don't use the QR code) then put it back in the right place.

If that doesn't work, remove freeshop, delete the entire "freeshop" folder, reinstall it and manually install the titlekeys again.

I can indeed install cia files via fbi with no issues at all. It appears all my issues are related to the freeshop. Thanks for posting!

Use Wii U USB Helper, Input the wii u and 3ds title key sites and download the games you want, in the download bar at the bottom tick the "Pack to CIA" box and enjoy

I actually found out about this a few days ago and I have to say it's tremendous. Definitely the most viable option for me.

I just wondered out of convenience whether I could get freeshop to function correctly.

But nonetheless Wii USB Helper seems to work great!

I just wanted to bump this thread once more to see if there could be anything else i haven't tried. Yesterday i put cfw on my friends 3ds, did everything by the book and freeshop works perfectly for him. But on my console it just keeps telling me wrong title keys. Interestingly every time i do a fresh install of the freeshop app it crashes. Which it never did on his. I'm guessing there is something conflicting with the freeshop app on my console.

Which FreeShop fork are you using? Paul's one seems to be the best.
