you can play with people you don't have f-codes, with, but it doesn't say battle, just minigames, so I'm not sure about fighting. If its a good thing, it says you can wifi doubles battle though(with 3 other friends) xP. So yea, I don't think there are random battles other than the battle tower.

You can get random battles from the Battle Tower as before, but no actual player-to-player random WiFi.
