Hey. I'm just wondering if popcap games like peggle and plants v zombies can be ported to the switch

If you can get the source code for them, of course they can. Without that - someone would need to make them from scratch and then because the source is not public, you'd have licence issues and the person releasing could end up in court, I doubt anyone has the time for that. If you want to play Popcap games - just use a computer as you can play them on that. Some of these games are available for PsVita/PSP - so obviously the switch is able to run them.

For Peggle, I recommend MelonDS with built-in overclock. You can ask questions and find info in this https://gbatemp.net/threads/melonds-for-switch.518300/ thread.

After you clear a stage, touch the screen so the ball goes faster. Sound glitches while saving, but just ignore that. Also, sound's glitchy/game 'appears' slow when starting up the game, but gets better.

I play using the highest OC.

The PSP version of Peggle is perfect. Resolution to 1440x816, no overclock. As for Plants vs Zombies, there are NES and Sega Genesis fanmade versions, but they are heinous. Still got to figure out how to get Bejeweled 2 running good.

Some other PSP games from mobile like Jetpack Joyride and Angry Birds {AB has that, built-in, PlayStation sticky controller issue} decent, too. Also Canabalt.

Turn Fast Memory Speedhack to off in the settings for Peggle. https://twitter.com/m4xwdev/status/1117513300521172993

The Frostbite engine has been already ported so PvZ GW 1 and 2 and maybe PvZ 2 (idk if its based on Frostbite) too can be ported

Almost all PSP Minis work in RetroArch with the latest PPSSPP Patreon build btw. Might be worth a look for those "quick grab" games like angry birds and others.

I have the majority of the ones I want to play running. I'll have to do some more tinkering for Bejeweled 2, though. If you get it smooth, please let me know.

As for the Angry Birds thing I mentioned, it seems the controls weren't too optimized for their PlayStation releases. I get that same 'sticky' issue on the PS3 version.

Disable Fast Mem, Vertex, and Unsupport Func. (Each says (speedhack) next to the name) see if that works.

For Angry Birds, PPSSPP RA Core does not do diagonal analog very well right now, which might be playing a part in that. (AFAIK the "PS3" version is just a copy paste of the PSP mini (PS3 natively supports PSP Minis and some PSP titles, like it does with PS1/2)
