Hello there i've got major problems with my GC Setup and i hope you guys know better than me or can help me ..

I'm using a Swiss- and also Xeno- modded PAL - GC with the carby V2 HDMI Adapter and my Standart 1080p HD TV .
Most of the Games are booting in 480i NTSC , and they dont look nice at all.
Very very blurry, not like it should be especially with the carby Adapter.
However if i force the game via swiss to any higher res, there is a error saying" File too fragmented ?" OR the Game wont even get displayed.

PLEASE help, i cant get it.

Hello.:)

Which Firmware is on your Carby V2 Adapter please ?

Thank you.:)

Have you tried playing NTSC versions of the games? If your setup is correct, a 480p capable NTSC game will prompt to enable progressive mode.

@megadeath I've heard from others too that Carby will make PAL games run in 480p, but on their own website in the descriptions for both their Gamecube cables it says it will do 480p for 'games that support it' and that for PAL you need Swiss for this which they have nothing to with... So I'm a bit confused...

Most PAL games were reprogrammed to disable the 480p prompt screen.

I have a Carby and use WW hack to boot Swiss, from there I play my PAL backups in 480p widescreen. Works great and widescreen really is a nice addition.
