Can Local Wireless be used for data transfer?

I was just wondering if it would be possible to make an app to transfer files from a switch to another switch using local wireless?

That would be interesting to share nro, themes, saves etc...

You can use DBI for that. Ftp server on one switch and ftp client on another. Both in the DBI. Also DBI can setup local AP on the server switch

Yes that should technically be possible as local wireless is basically a Wifi connection between 2 devices without the need for a seperate Wifi access point.
The NintendoSDK does have libraries for it afaik.
