Hardware Can I still mod with soundhax with broken Mic connector?

I have a new 3ds co that I was getting ready to mod when I noticed that the Mic connector on the main board was broken. Is it still safe to mod with soundhax?

Soundhax is a software based hack that has nothing to do with the mic. So yes you can.
