Hello, I’m looking to convert my Wii U Breath of the Wild save to work with the switch. I think I understand how to do this, but my question is if I’ll be able to install cfw, inject the save data, then completely get rid of cfw while still having the save for Breath of the Wild. Is this possible? Is it safe to do so?
Thanks.

The save file will remain after you remove CFW, unless you restore a NAND backup.

As long as you only use Checkpoint, this should be relatively safe. There's still a risk, however small.

I thought the way to remove CFW was to restore a NAND backup? Can you tell me the way to remove CFW, in a safe way?

Restoring a NAND backup will remove all possible traces of using CFW, but you can't do that if you want your save file to stay. You will probably be okay if you don't restore a NAND backup, but it's your risk to take.

Sorry, I’m new to this. So if I don’t do the NAND restore, is there another way to go back to OFW? Or is the only way to have the save file is to stay with the CFW?

If you reboot your Switch without launching CFW, then you're no longer running CFW. You do not need to be running CFW for the save file to work.
