I have Minecraft: Wii U edition and I don't wanna update the game. I try to play without updating and it forces me to do it. Even if I am offline, it still prompts me to update the game. Obviously there is some code in the game files which tells the Wii U that there needs to be an update. I don't wanna update because the updates are trash.

Can I in anyway bypass this?

Can I edit the game files to not need an update?

Can I redirect the Wii U to update a specific version I have on my computer instead of go to the Wii U database?

Updating is going to be a lot less trouble than bypassing the update.

Whats the trouble? There is no way I will update this game.

On Wii U you can just update the game through the console normally, it won't effect anything.

They added weird features in the newer updates so thats why I don't wanna update the game. I am gonna try to block the WUP servers from my router and see if that will do the fix

I'm unfamiliar with all of your options, but formatting the system and reinstalling the game with the proper DNS settings would probably keep you from being locked out of the game without updating. Adding the proper DNS settings without formatting and attempting to update is unlikely to work, but it might be worth a try. Also, did you install any DLC?

If my memory serves me well, yes there is a way, but it isn't a bypass, more of a work around, however with the DNS settings and what not, then it could be treated like a bypass. The caveats is that this method may be dangerous.
I really do not know the exact specifics on how to do it as I have never done it before and requires you to know the title ID, version number or version ID, and hex editing the versions.bin file on your Wii U NAND.
Code:
slc/security/versions.bin
FTP anywhere is needed for this as well as CFW of your choice.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
He ruined it basically. Sad cause it was a decent old bike. It would take more money to rewire the bike than it was worth tho.
