Gaming can 3ds read ebooks or pdf

Can the 3ds read ebooks or pdf files? Are there any homebrew apps out there?

First of all, there is no 3DS homebrew yet.
Second, there is a PDF DS reader, so if you have a DS flashcart, it'll work:

gotcha.. thank you for the correction. so the homebrew is for the DSi and the 3ds is just running it on the DS flashcart. I have an acekard 2i. Thanks.

there's some great epub readers for the ds. The pdf reader sucks. You need a lot of juice to read a pdf but you can convert a pdf and read it on the excellent comic book reader cbds

there's a lot of formats for ebooks on the DS, but my favorite so far is DSlibris and its .xhtml format, which allows for font variety and formatting (bold, italics, titles, etc). it's a bit of a hassle getting a title formatted properly though, but for the most part a number of free software can make it easier. it's not anti-aliased though, so fonts can look a bit edgy if not pixel-perfect.
