Homebrew Question (Bypassing Parental Controls) Extracting Device ID through Goldleaf

Hey Guys, first time posting here.
And a complete Nintendo Switch Noob Here.

I bought a Nintendo Switch yesterday, that had parental controls turned on, wasn’t aware what they were, I’m new to the Nintendo Switch World.

I’ve been reading threads on here about how to bypass the parental controls, and I guess it used to be super simple, all you needed as to put the inquiry number on a website and it would generate a Master Key.

Now the same website still works but if it’s updated past 8.0.
You need the Device ID in order to get the Master Key.

On some threads here mentions downloading Goldleaf, and opening up the PRodinfo?
When I download Goldleaf on my Mac it’s just text, and I’m not sure where to go from there and would really appreciate some help.

Goldleaf is a homebrew application for the Switch. The switch needs to be hacked and running CFW to use it.

So I guess the main thing I’m trying to figure out here is.

If your switch isn’t hacked and doesn’t have homebrew installed.

There’s no way to check the device ID of your switch?

You can try to use lockpick rcm to get your keys.
