I know they have empty boxes on the walls... yes... only one copy of each game on the walls... but there is a HUGE case filled with all the games... when you want a NEW game, meaning never been played, they pull one out that's NEVER BEEN PLAYED... shrink wrap in tact... and no, the employees don't shrink wrap the games... SirSweeps has no idea what he's talking about.

zidane_genome, I know for a fact one of the things he said IS true. Employees are able to take home NEW games and play them then bring them back and they are sold as new. It's bullsh*t but true. Hell they even CUT the security tape on computer games nowadays and thats a big no-no.

If you don't want a preplayed 'new' game. Just ask for one that is shrink-wrapped in the cabinet. When you walk up with an empty box with the "new" sticker you are pretty much asking for one of the preplayed 'new' ones. Instead of trying to find the game you want on the shelf, just ask for it out of the cabinet and they'll sell you a shrink-wrapped one. If it came out in the last month or so there will be at least 20 in there.

There is a bunch of [fail] in this thread, if you don't want a new game that was opened, then don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy new at gamestop. Walmart sells the same game, new.

If you are buying from gamestop you might as well get the used version. They are at least $10 cheaper and every other month they have the buy2get1free special. So I can easily get 3 recently released 360 games for around 65 bucks that would have otherwise been 100-something new.

I once got a PC game and it was "new" but when I got home, it looked used. The disk looked like crap but it worked.

To hell with you pojo. Some people feel the need to support a quality game and/or developer you know. If everyone was as smart as you, there would be no games other than indy freebies on computers and phones. Figures, 3 post newbie.
