I've been burning a copy of Brawl and I bought 3 disks. So far I've tried 2. The first one got to 100% using IMGBurn but our friend pressed eject too soon and we didn't get the full copy. >_> Second one we got this random ass error at 71% and it kept saying try again and as we tried to, nothing worked. So we were forced to cancel without it fully finishing. Now I'm on my third disk and I'm really hesitant about doing this again so is there anything I can do to prevent this from screwing up again and/or not working when it's burned?

Thanks.

Yeah, are you using DVD+R DL or DVD-R disc?

Also its best to burn ISO's at a low speed most people burn at 4X.

I always burn at 16X with DVD+R and had no problems at all...!!

If you are having issues with a burn:
  • Ensure that the image is not corrupt (if it extracted without error you are fine in 98% of cases)
  • De-fragment your drive (be sure there is adequate free space to properly defrag)
  • Burn as slowly as your burner will allow you
  • Close all background applications
  • Don't do anything else while the disc is burning on the PC.
  • Try to keep movement around the burner to a minimum (don't bump, jostle, or create vibrations around the PC)
  • Cut off the fingers of trigger happy friends

What size is the game? 4.37 GB? 8? DVD5 is 4.37 GB.
also, your using a DVD+R dual layer....... always use DVD-R's instead, they work all the time.
The only time you would need to burn on a dual layer is if the game is bigger than 4.37 GB.
Imageburn works best for burning at 4X, is FREE, very popular.

and, yes, listen to sl33p, he's absolutely right about burning!!!!!!!!
