It was good but some things were a matter of opinion. For example, the Verbatim and the other brand of dvds? I was Nexxtech, which was 10$ bucks, and it works flawlessly. All dvd-rs will work on the Wii, though the quality of the dvd may vary depending on which one.

Also The Write speed doesn't make a difference, that myth was debunked. Just choose auto or max and it should still turn out fine.

Slow speed results is bad burns, at least not as good as possible burns. You can check that yourself with dvdinfopro.

Okay, well speed does affect it but if a person chooses Auto or max, then it doesnt matter.

im wondering if online play still works using the backup disks in games that have online play (mario strikers for example)

They should. For now anyways, that could instantly change (doubt it).

Edit: afif95 beat me to it .. oh well.

Yes you said that one time. A few months ago, when you were trying to burn a Wii ISO.

Hi guys,

I just softmodded my Wii and I've got the homebrew channel up and running, cIOS is installed and the backuploader channel works fine. But for the life of me I cannot get a burned copy of Tatsunoko vs Capcom to read on my Wii. So far, I've burned about 8 discs, all using imgburn but also nero and alcohol 120. Media has been mostly verbatim DVD-Rs although I tried some memorex. No matter how I burn, Auto, 8x, 4x, 3x, 2x, on my Macbook Pro the Wii will not read the disc. I have a US Wii from launch. Am I doing something wrong? Help!

apparently, I too am stumped, since I do not know what to make out of it.

Since I never touched Wiifrii or Tatsunoko.

Someone please help him

Brickblock and WiiFrii for Gamma users? I guess the original author doesn't know what he is doing and why. The game is a japanese game, so run the game with force NTSC and force japanese language. If this doesn't work, try the same with a IOS Version patched to IOS249 disc. If you get the game to work, but with wrong colors, all named tools(brickblocker, WiiFrii and IOS Version patcher) won't fix this issue.

Forced to NTSC and Jap, now it just displays a japanese message in black and white. I think its just the unreadable disk error in japanese.
