I finally changed my dvd burner for a better one, but I have a new problem. BurnerMax doesn't work with my new DVD burner (LG GSA H55N). I attach an image to show what appears when I try to lauch Burnermax.

Besides this, this burner way better than last I had. I didn't have an error message nor dvd burned appeared to be empty at the end.

Still... There's something I can do?

I hope for an answer.

maybe try to overburn an image? I don't know for sure as I was a part of the jtag scene before xgd3 came out.

Is it external or internal? So BurnerMax doesn't recognize that there's dvd disc inside the burner or the burner itself? Have you tried with Imgburn?

Internal. But it is actually an IDE DVD Burner, but my Motherboard supports SATA only, so I use an adapter.

And no by now. I used Imgburn a lot of times but I don't wanna take risks because it gave me a lot of message errors.

yeah but what about xgd3 games?
you're correct. that layerbreak is for xgd2 games. I think the laybreak for xgd3 starts with a 2, but I don't know it offhand. you can do a default layerbreak with imgburn, just remember to change it if using xgd2 games.

What about them?
that's not the right layerbreak for xgd3. that layerbreak is for xgd2.

op, you could check the .dvd file for the right layerbreak. that's its only purpose. put that as default in imgburn. you can open the .dvd file with a text editor.

I don't know about that. though, I left burning discs in around 2008. the .dvd file is unnecessary though. it just tells imgburn where to place the layerbreak, so he could burn a disc without one. he just needs the layerbreak for xgd3. I'm pretty sure it starts with a 2, just don't know it offhand. I'd suggest the op google it.

If you don't set the layer break properly when you try and load the disc it just shows up as a regular dvd and won't work.

I know, that's why I suggest getting the right layer break from a .dvd file. it will be the same for all xgd3 games.

If in doubt just make your own with this tool:

that's after I was involved with burning discs, so I don't think I've seen that app before. originally, you had to download the ss and dmi from abgx360 manually, then add them to a disc if they didn't come out correct. that was a very long time ago though. I'm not using the same account on the series x for several reasons. ;)

That app is able to fix disc images so they are stealthed and prevented you from being banned from xbox live. It makes the disc appear in the same way an original does. ABGX has stealth files which are basically the xbox game disc video partitions, these are different sizes so the layer break changes, it's able to detect if your game image is xgd3 or xdg2. There's lots of other options and things it can do such as fixing disc images, extraction etc. I am surprised you never had it as it was always a big deal in the xbox360 era.

If you want to check it out:
