Pads are burned off and I have no where to solder a replacement jack. Anyone know a fix?

That doesn't look good. This is what I got with multimeter continuity mode:

Negative/mass can be found almost everywhere – like on the shield of the cartridge reader (or the huge solder joints holding the cart reader). I got continuity between the positive pole of the charging jack and the lower left point of EM1. On my DSi motherboard I can't see the coil inside of EM1 (more plastic above). I have no idea if yours is damaged or just another component looking differently.

As always: I can't guarantee anything. Try this on your own risk. I would solder a wire to the lower left of EM1, some random point of mass and apply 4.6V to those wires while a battery is connected to see if it charges. Since all the solder pads are ripped off violently, it will be hard to fixate the charging port (Superglue? Is this possible and a good idea on a PCB with the aggressive chemicals? Or 2 components adhesive/epoxy? I'm at a loss).

Maybe somebody else has better ideas.

Good luck!

I've had it sitting around for months and thought about trying to fix it again. Last time I checked it powered on and worked fine it's just the charge port that's broken. The battery is dead and I don't have a spare to test with.

So you're suggesting to solder positive red to lower left of EM1 to right pin on DC jack, then ground to a point on the motherboard and left pin of DC jack?

That is unfortunate. Maybe borrow a battery or just order some cheap replacement. For the test it doesn't have to be a high quality cell.

If you have access to an external charger you could charge the battery outside the DSi (yeah, stupid to take it out each time).
I really don't have any good ideas how to deal with this.

I have a balance charger that I used before to give it some charge, but it is difficult to connect it to pins on the battery.

Well I charged the battery a bit but the DSi only flickers on for a second. Also one of the clips for a ribbon cable came out and I can't get it back in. Not sure it's related.

EDIT: Your suggestion worked to get the charge port working but I think the ribbon cable for the LCD is preventing it from booting.
