Apparently, I have to book press the DVD+R to a DVD-ROM. I have a couple of .MPG video files but how exactly do I do that?

just burn normally with ImgBurn. it should work.

Usless you're trying to ask how to burn MPG to DVD so you can watch them in a DVD player. Use NeroVision for that shit
