BTC is a bit of a rollercoaster, right? It's had its ups and downs, but it's still got potential. Whether it's worth investing in depends on your strategy and risk tolerance. Don't put in more than you can afford to lose.

BTC has always been a dreadfully slow network so it would be impossible to scale it more for the masses. As for now as it is Crypto is a ponzi scheme so as long as there is new investors it will hold up but just a few people cashing out it will crash the market.

I invested in BTC and the value has gone up, but I'd never for it again. I'd rather invest in fiat currency or gold (which I do, although I've not done my research to make a final decision on purchasing it).

How do you guys feel about BTC these days? Like is it still worth investing in?
No, open a savings account or a retirement account than BTC. You'll be better off.

BTC is the king...just watch how it broke 100K mark.. and nobody would expect that..same as it was when he broke 10k. I would not suggest investing in it as it is at the peak.. just work your ass off and slowly invest DCA style and wait for the dip when everyone is talking how BTC will go to the 0 again haha
Only thing is you never made a transaction on the network. BTC is unusable in real life. People have lost all kind of monies with to crypto and the one who have invested money in the network did not cash out. No one ever said it would go to 0 because it can't. But for someone who profit someone has to lose. That's the game. There is also the environnemental impact but let's just say BTC has brought more good than bad to this world.

Is it used for anything? It's just people "investing" hoping that that inevitable crash won't happen while they have it, right?

I know it was big for darknet markets, but I think most of them have moved to other cryptocurrencies that don't keep every transaction ever made logged.

There are some funny interviews with John McAfee talking about this, highly recommended, he was both crazy and hilarious. RIP.

I cant complain... Bought half a bitcoin the moment covid hits the market. For i think 4000 for half a coin. Sold half of that last bullrun, and sold the other after the 100.000 mark.

And the fact that here in the EU you have em tax free if you hold em longer than 1 year, is making it way better.

But today i would not invest again in btc. Maybe if it drops down to 20 or 30k.

@TVL
Yes you can use it to pay on various sites and services. But i think that only a handful people are doing it. Most are holding it and hope for a good raise.

what about now? still worth purchasing?
Only invest what you're willing to lose. TBH you've likely missed the biggest bull runs, and there aren't many that would've survived the massive uplifts in it. BTC has become more valuable due to institutions investing now, and hoarding. The more that horde the more its value will rise.
