Hacking Broken hinge on DSLite

I haves a broken hinge (by the right trigger).
Should I:

A: Glue the broken piece back on?

B: Send to Nintendo for repairs (if they accept it)

C: Buy a shell and attempt a personal repair job?

a) not a good idea - probalby end up with glue in the hinge unit, doubtful it will ever hold - end up costing more in the long run.

b) You could try but as they no longer think its an issue - you'll be lucky to get it free - so will cost a lot

c) Probably the best idea, less than $20 for a reasonable case - but read the instructions on the forums otherwise it could cost you a lot more than the case.

Get the number of your local nintendo support hotline, call them and ask how much they charge for repairing the hinge. Usually they repair everything, as long as you pay them. Depending on how much it costs, I would decide between option b) and c). Also keep in mind that you'll be without your DS for quite a while, when you send it to Nintendo for repair.

i had a Hell Story with them before i got a NEW ONE

the 2nd DS i got was REFRUBISHED and had a failing touch screen

the 3rd one i got the L BUTTON WAS DEAD in a week,

the 4th one i got (OMG this one was the Worst) WHEN YOU PUSH START. THE DS SYSTEM WOULD FREEZE.

the 5th one was FINALLY A NEW ONE.

BUT. if you want to risk it, be my guest pal.

well my right shoulder is cracked and a piece is missing (it's the third ds i've had the first 2 were replaced under warranty)
thank god i've got a plastic shell from dealextreme on mine because that takes all the strain and stops the need for me having to replace the shell
i'll get around to it one day

Man, that was an interesting phone call.

I guess you guys are right, sending for a replacment/repair is expensive ($70-$85). Who's got that kinda money nowadays?

So, anybody know a guide I can use, other than the one stickied here as he link doesn't work.
