It's not getting unbricked. I was restoring a nand backup, but used my old 3ds's which also happened to have a9lh... I have a Bootrom error.

Good, you have a NAND New 3DS backup, the N3DS can be restored.
P.S: You can hardmod the 3DS yourself, few tutorials are available on GBATemp.
This not hard to found!

Im pretty experienced with 3ds hacking, so I'm just gonna get another one from ebgames with the protection plan. (My 3ds also has a couple really annoying scratches)

A hardmod is what he should do then, not commit fraud falsely accusing his 3ds not working after an update, either way I don't care.
