Hacking Bricked my N3ds, can anything be done?

A final question if i may, is there a possibility to hardbrick the 3ds when trying to update/downgrade via safesys and sysupdater?

Yes it's possible but chances are very low if you do everything right. The memchunk exploit used for downgrading is by nature very unstable. So it's not unusual if something breaks while overwriting files (you experienced it yourself). This is the reason why a nand dump is so extremely useful in a worst case scenario.

I had the exact same problem you encountered. But on my frankenfirmwared n3ds from 9.9 to 9.2 could enter mset.
What I did: used smashhax (you can use ninjhax or oothax too) but you need to use 9.2.0-26(region) payload not 9.2.0-20(region). i don't know why but only this payload boots hbl succesfull. you can download it on smealum.github.io
Use sysupdater to finish downgrade

The reason why is that NATIVE FIRM is installed, but usually SSU crashes around the home menu applet. NVER never gets downgraded. So effectively you're running 9.2.0-X where X is the browser you began with. System Settings/Browser usually don't get touched in the downgrade, so as stated before they lock up since they are signed with higher FW keys.
