I think the name is good because with Breeze you know the reference and with hand as you said... UltraBreezeHand would be to long right?
Has the colour scheme some meaning or you wanted to add some more colours to it? I don't know, is it the colour of Ultrahand? Not using this Overlay but could be the same
Yes, I simply change the text

Hi Folks... definitely feeling the winter breeze in Wisconsin today. Hope you all don’t have to work outside half of the time like me! Anyways, like some newcomers, I was hoping to make quick progress into modding TOTK in order to experience the ultimate master mode that it should have been but instead was hit with the reality that this open book exam is no breeze through. lol  My goal right now is to start with UltraCam and Challenge mode on the Switch and eventually move over to PC for DAR-TOTK. With the help of Sthetix and many hours of trial and error I still have not been able to experience any cheats in the past 3 months. I think I finally understand how modding can be frustrating but also very rewarding once the folder management workload is properly identified and maintained. However, I’m sure we can all agree that the most seasoned exploiters among us were once in much need of these elementary lessons as well. I hope asking the right questions here will draw some attention that will lead to my success.

I’m here because aio-updater and Edizon are draining me after too many failed attempts. I simply just need to know what each folder is for and if it needs to be moved, where to put them. Do I drag the zip folders to the desktop? What do you guys use to unzip them and then where do I put the contents in its proper place? Please also specify if there are any prerequisites or folders I will need to create. Thank you!

No, you don't need to dig into the files in Breeze directory.
If you want to use cheat you only need one thing, the cheat file itself.
For basic functionality simply copy from Breeze.zip to the root of you sd card is all you need to do. If you want to use the full capability (if you want to make asm cheats) you can install gen2 fork using the button in settings menu.

You are thinking too much. Have you check out the github page?

Ok, but where does the cheat file go? There are 2 atmosphere folders: one in the Sd root and the other is inside the switch folder where Breeze is located.

Are you saying there's no need to create this path?

atmosphere/contents/0100F2C0115B6000/cheats/(cheat file?)

I'm working on the quick start guide and running into somethings I don't understand:

Seems like I did it right but still get these messages. Not sure anymore please help...

The no cheat found may just be the right message and there is nothing wrong with your setup. Cheats don’t always get updated. Not every cheat file posted at gbatemp get automatically included in the database. It’s a manual process.

What cause the crash screen?

That 2nd photo from the top. I remember reading about filling in that little box to make it solid and just thought maybe that was the problem. Still don't understand how to make it turn solid and that's usually when it crashes but other than that everything seems to be working fine.

Yes, I would appreciate a more detailed explanation of that manual process so I can maintain it myself as I can see the fun in that. I don't understand how the build ID has to change so often with a solid game like TOTK. What kind of update could it possibly need being that the producers are pretty much done patching it...

Appreciate your reply. What's the next step for me? Continue with the other troubleshoot methods?

BID is the most important number. If it’s incorrect, you’re most likely out of luck. Totk is more likely to get game code update than cheat code update. It is the case for most game and there is really no reason for totk to be different.

If you can find the cheat file with matching BID and want to manually update the file, it is super easy and I have covered it with the document I post on github.

Is this that hard to find??

How do I select "Load from DB?" I don't know what that arrow command is indicating...

Is my Breeze path correct? As you can see the BID matches...

Reading fast and slow lesson. You need to slow down and read those few words I wrote on github. You are so into your mistake that you can't read anymore until you slow down. You take one peek and you thought "that is exactly what I did" when it wasn't.
1769990983107.png

Read this slowly:
sdmc:/switch/breeze/cheats/{titleid or title name}/{buildid}.txt

Maybe this can help you understand your problem.
Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman is a definitive map of the human mind’s shortcuts and glitches. Kahneman, a Nobel laureate, breaks down our thought processes into two distinct "systems" that constantly battle for control over our decisions.
Here is a summary of the core concepts:

System 1 vs. System 2

The book's central premise is that our brains operate using two different operating systems.

  • System 1 (Fast): This is intuitive, emotional, and subconscious. It works automatically and requires little effort. It’s what allows you to read a facial expression or drive a car on an empty road.
  • System 2 (Slow): This is logical, calculating, and conscious. It requires intense focus and energy. You use this when solving a complex math problem or filling out a tax form.

If you're suggesting I created one too many extra folders, I know I didn't make that second cheat folder. Afterall, it makes no sense to have a cheat folder there and not have any cheats inside it. It was the obvious thing to do.

If this is the correct path, then I just tried it and still getting that "can't access" message.

I know you can be more simple with me...

There is the write cheat to file button that show you exactly where to put the file, there is the load cheat from breeze directory option that let you pick any file to load, no more safeguarding you from loading the wrong file with this option.

I still think your problem is you have error in your system1 that cause you to ignore all the answer that contradict it.

Hello there.
I am so sorry if this is not the correct place to ask, but I'm very lost and I saw this picture with the option to create cheat and was wondering how I can access this menu?
Because I updated my firmware and atmosphere and now when I open a game and go back to the menu to open Breeze in the album, the album is always in applet mode and I can't find the option to create cheats like in this image anymore. Does applet mode change how Breeze works?
If it does, how can I open Breeze without closing the game so I can manually add cheats?
Thank you in advance.

Breeze is normally used in applet mode, you can't have any game running if Breeze is in application mode (title take over).
To get to extended cheat menu use "More" button

"Create Cheat" button just create a dummy cheat. To make your own cheat you start by searching the memory for address of interest. There are various ways for you to create cheat after you found the address. Check out the readme.md at github.

Oh no, I don't create cheats, I usually ask for them here and then go to Breeze and insert them (as in manually type the numerical codes lol). But I don't have the option to add cheats anymore, when I click "More" all I get are these options in the photo I took.
Could you link me to the readme? I'm very new to all this lol sorry and thank you so much once again!

Your screen look different probably because you use older version of Breeze.

I remember trying that custom path method earlier but couldn't find that option. The quick start guide instructs to download the latest so you must have a different version.
