Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. I just got my wii modded by someone at a mall and it plays games perfectly, but Brawl. The problem is that when I put the disc in it makes me update and it says to turn off the wii if I dont want to update. The question is if I update, will my wii brick. Also I have no idea what firmwire or brand my modchip is. Anyone have ideas on what to do?

Anyway, you should probably try to find out what the chip is.

I can't really help much, but I can tell you that you should ideally try to update to 3.2.

I'm sure someone will come by soon telling you the best way to go about doing that.
