Somebody has probably already did it but a good start would be to find some rich sod who can disassemble the whole Wii write down all the chip models and all the semi conductors to be listed on the internet. Then rip the code of all of the chips and make some detailed blue prints of the motherboard.

That might help a little but who wants to ruin a Wii!

Ok I have this new idea, we take that browser crash bug in opera and then run unsigned code on it (we will have to download the unsigned code first) and then when thats done we can use a boot disk (again, need to find this) and then we can play backups that we burn with our dvd burners (i still need to buy one btw)

What do you think, will it work?

And he has a point, alot of people seem to think they grasp the technicalities of getting a system to run unsigned code and start spouting a bunch of obvious and pointless hypothesis...when in actuality... most (including myself!) barely grasp the concept.

can anyone share the specifics of the browser crash; how it works and what the theory is that we'll be able to do with it. Even just a link would be great.

That is most likley not going to be the port of access for running code. The wii has a sd card slot, 2 usb's, and of course a motherboard all much better locations to jump past the locks.

But i have not managed to crash my wii i believe it occurs if you get it to access http://w.w.w.w.w.w.w.w.w.w.w.w or something along those lines
