Hacking BOTW - Update question

So, BOTW can be installed without issues, even without sig patches. The update on the other hand does need sig patches, which confuses me.
ofc the title.tik of the disc is fixed but why does the update need sig patches? it shows as an update and not a dlc.
will the update be downloadable and installable without cfw once the game is released?

Maybe somebody on here has a more in depth understanding of tickets to bring some clarity, cause i dont like installing stuff that i might need to fix later

Because the update at the moment is fake signed this will be fixed once the update is officially available.

thats what i figured, does that mean the disk version didnt have a tik file though? there is a mandatory install with the disk that i would assume is this said update.

So found somebody claiming on an other thread:
"I'm not sure how the ticket was generated. I know that the files were on nintys servers in January for some reason and someone grabbed them. Maybe the guy who grabbed them may be able to tell you if he's reading this"

if thats true, that would explain the fake signed update, but nintendo puting a fake ticket on the server doesnt seem right.

and yeah, did they just not bother to get the tik from the disc? i originally thought the update came from the disc, but if its not, then its cleared up

we would need to manually reinstall the update from nus i think, to overwrite the fake tik.

You can download it from the eShop. Why you need sigpatch is because dlc and updates are individually signed for the user while games have a common key that signs them. Once the game is released you can download the update off the eShop and it will work without sigpatch. However if you have a na console and are running the EU version of the game I don't think you'll be able to download the EU update from the shop.

but it is an update, thats why its weird we got a fake tik, not a dlc, check in data management, so that lets me assume you wont be able to download that same update from eshop.
maybe you can though after deleting it. dont really know how update tickets work

Like I said, updates and dlc are signed individually based on the user. You and me will have different tickets for the same update we bought downloaded. They're tied to our Nintendo id and game tickets aren't.

All (official, downloaded directly from Nintendo) updates are signed for all consoles, that's why you can get the ticket directly from the CDN without having to handle titlekeys at any point

updates are not signed for every user, only eshop games and dlc. no sigpatch needed for a fixed update tik

Totally off topic but can anyone tell me where the heck the fairy fountain near kakariko village is I have wondered about for hours trying to find it. Probably it's right in front of my face but I need help lol.

as some people in kakariko will tell you, ...

it's behind the shrine near the village. just go to the right when in front of the shrine and follow the path through the forest. there should be a big green onion-like thing with a voice coming out of it. talk to the voice and it will ask for 100 rupees... if you pay, the fairy fountain will open up.

you can also proceed with your main quest and get the camera-module for your sheikah-stone. then a guy in kakariko will ask you for a picture of the fountain and more or less lead you to it.

Thanks sometimes I miss things when reading in English as French is my main language but as I now stay in Scotland I play all games in English to try and improve my language skills lol speaking it and writing it I am quite good but reading it I miss vital clues lol
