Gaming BOTW - How to shoot several arrows?

I've picked up a couple bows that have x2 or x3 and say can shoot several arrows at once, but I cant work it out or find any more information about.

Can anyone help?

they do it automatically, just shoot normally. and it still only costs one arrow per shot
