What is the total size of BOTW with all DLC? I am buying a sd card and I think a 32 gb will be enough, my console is 8gb and I believe the size is 13 gb but I'm unsure. At least the download I have is 13 gb but I've read that the digital size is about 13 gb so if someone else can help confirm this I'd appreciate it.

According to this https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/5x6vn7/wii_u_game_download_size/
the around 13 GB is correct. But may I ask why you don't opt for a bigger storage size?

I'd strongly recommend against SD loading.

Game size is about 13GB, you would want to run them off a HDD, leave your NAND alone.

Well a 32 gb micro SD card is really cheap, like $7 usd on Amazon right now and I was given a 8 gb model

SD is not advisable to use on Wii U, given the amount of read/writes games use, go with a cheap USB HDD instead. But it's your money.

Thank you. So by HDD do you mean hard drive or usb drive?

Just note that you have to buy a compatiable DS game to use for the exploit, and CBHC has a chance of brick during installation.
I am aware of the nds game, and I don't like risks but I'll look into it

Yes, SD cards have a finite no. of reads/writes, USB HDDs are much better suited for backups. You will have to use CFW+ Haxchi for that. I don't recommend CBCH for anyone seeking a marginal benefit over Haxchi.

Then he should the Haxchi CFW instead, it's much more stable.

Depends on the person, some people doesn't always like the idea booting up, loading up haxchi, then play their games, people like me prefer loading straight into cfw.

If people want to take the risk, so be it, but don't have them crying to us if it bricks.

Almost nothing requires going into CFW, though. Only DLC and emulators - you can remove the region lock from OFW. Tapping Haxchi takes a few seconds, it's not a big deal.

Definitely going to get a USB so thank you for letting me know, and I'd rather not risk a brick so a few clicks isn't a problem

You kinda have to have CFW to run backups off of USB, Wii U can't run games you don't own off of hard drives, this is fact, look it up.

Non-legitimate games of the same region you are on do not require CFW. Oddly. Only pirated DLC and games of a different region do require CFW, though you can defeat the region lock without CFW.
