i want to know if bootmii is worth getting.i know its old news right now but i recently seen some bootmii checker thing come out yesterday.i never used bootmii and want to know if i should i get it.

Well, it's not exactly old news, Bootmii isn't out yet. If it's worthwhile to get is really up to you, in my case, it isn't, while I love homebrew, I think homebrew on the wii is more serious than fun, and the wii should be all about fun, so it's really up to you

i guess i'll use the checker than i thought it was out already because i see a lot links talking about it thanks for the info i almost went searching for something that never came out.

I don't know anything about Bootmii, but if it has full brick protection then I know I'm going to be using it (Don't have the money for Savemii >_

Lol. Where have you taken those conclusions?

Team Twiizers is not gonna do anything like that at all. They're against piracy, but they're for free will. If you wanna pirate, then it's your responsibility, not theirs. That's all they want.
If they really wanted to block piracy, now the Homebrew Channel v9 or 1.0 wouldn't run the WAD manager or the loaders anymore.

That "piracy check" accident was something that another guy (Comex) did for a DVDx installer. He isn't affiliated to Team Twiizers in any way, nor Team Twiizers has done things like that in the past.

wait bootmii erases pirated information. i don't remember reading that i thought it was just going to do what starfall and softmii help the wii be brick free i already have those installed.now i may not even use this.

girl i told you the other day lol, they aint going to block piracy

dont get so worried anyway someone else will test it before and make a massive bootmii+piracy loader guide(as with eveything that comes out*sigh*)

I'm still reading up on bootmii. So essentially will it be possible to install a new IOS, identical to nintendo's original IOS, that is free of restrictions such as banner restriction or SDcard acces restrictions?

It will allow us to trap the boot2 code that triggers the SystemMenu launch.
With this piece of code, we'll be able to run whatever we want: the HBC, a patched SM, other HomeBrews or unbrick tools.

Just to clarify Checker does not install anything on your Wii, it just collects your ConsoleID (this is used in exported save games), boot1 hash, boot2 version, region, video mode and the IOS version it’s running under and sends it back to us over Wifi.
It does not peek at anything you may have installed on your Wii so you can put those tinfoil hats away now.
