Well i just updated my wii to 4.2 and never had bootmii installed, so i went ahead and installed it as boot2. Problem is when i boot my wii up nothing shows up.. I have the sd card in with the bootmii folder and still nothing.!
am i missing somthing? :S Thanks!

The sd card needs to be in the wii before the wii gets powered on.

Inserting the card after the wii has been turned on will not show bootmii.

Does the wii boot at all when the sd card with the bootmii folder is on it?

It could be bootmii is not compatible with your sd card.Try moving the bootmii folder to a new sd card and try again.

I've seen it where using an non supported card with the bootmii folder on it caused the wii to load a black screen every time it was in the wii before the wii was powered on.Switching the card fixed the issue.

it boots like normal ill try another sd card and reply back thanks for your help so far

EDIT- no another SD card did not work still boots normally, tried reinstalling bootmii and still no success...

Do you get a double flash on the blue disc ring when starting up? If so - this indicates bootmii is there, it just can't see the SD card.

I take it you 'prepared' your new SD card?

Flashes once, then i hear the disk thinger then it double flashes then goes the to warning heath and safety screen.

on the root of the card theres a folder that says bootmii , inside that folder are 3 files armboot bootmii and ppcboot.

The double flash you describe means bootmii is there - and can't find the proper files on the SD card.

Are you using SD or SDHC?

It might be worth trying boot2/IOS and see if that runs. Other than that, lodge a bug on bootmii's bug tracker.
