Hello everyone!

I am new(ish) to the whole wii scene... I have a question about Bootmii. I use the installer and it installs properlly (it says it on the screen) but I cannot load up Bootmii or the HBC on boot.
I have no idea how to, i presume that I have to set the settings in the bootmii.ini file so it says "AUTOBOOT=HBC" so I did that but it just loads the system menu file?

How do i fix this

Oh yeah, it also wrote to the IOS254(?) because boot2 was not writable..

P.S, i found this in the armboot.bin file on my memory card, is it meant to look like this?

Because you could not install it onto boot2 is the reason why you are not able to load it on start up.
SO is there anyway to backup from a brick if i get one? (i'm confused now!)

PBC

I think if you have preloader you can get atleast some brick protection even if you have bootmii as an IOS and not boot2.

Make a nand backup.

If anything goes wrong I'd assume you could load preloader...use that to boot HBC. In HBC you can get to bootmii and from there load on the nand back up.

Someone correct me if that is wrong.
