Hacking Bootmii concerns

I believer I installed bootmii version 1 (the first thing they came out with) to me wii boot2...

I am mainly concerned about the possibility of a brick if I update my wii...

Is this possible?

Well, Nintendo's boot2-updating code actually bricked a few Wiis regardless of whether homebrew was installed. But if you update BootMii, you should be able to update without a hitch (at least until System Menu 4.3 comes out

).

new ones overwrite the old one

So bootmii in boot2 is harmless if nintendo tries to overwrite boot2?
